Meet Shelby
 

Shelby-lyn Bouckley was born and raised in Kirkland Lake, ON, after 18 years, and 7 acceptance letters she landed herself here at Nipissing University in the humble city of North Bay. Currently enrolled in her 4th year of Criminal Justice, with dreams to head to a prestigious law school and eventually become a successful lawyer, while owning her own firm.  At the age of just 21 years, she has accomplished goals, that most set for a lifetime… From travelling around the continent to competing in Pageants across the province collecting numerous titles, as Miss Kirkland Lake 2008, Miss North Ontario Regional Canada, Entrepreneur, Fitness and Scholastic, and Miss Teen North Ontario President, with invites to Miss Universe Canada and Miss Earth Ontario Preliminaries and holding an exceptional title as an Olympic Torchbearer for the 2010 Winter Olympics in Vancouver! Along with being involved with many organizations as a volunteer providing community service throughout the North, with a wide variety of involvement from music production and festivals, Relay for Life, Donation Drives, Shop n Stops, and a recent addition as a St John’s Ambulance Volunteer. All of these achievements can be honored by a kind and loving, very proud mother, Karen who has guided Shelby through every twist, turn and jump, allowing her to be where she is today! Shelby-lyn’s past radio practice is thanks to CJKL located in Kirkland Lake, where she managed the Spirit for 2 years, as well as handled reception and had experience in production.

As well as hitting up the hot events in North Bay, her other time is dedicated to her part time job as a  sales associate at The Body Shop, and a successful Independent Avon Sales Representative. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time on the water with a wakeboard under her feet or a salom ski, as well as catching up with friends, and giving love to her animals. Shelby’s favourite food is sushi, and loves the summer months because of the long hours of sunshine!
