The city’s overnight parking ban is now in effect.  From now until March 31st, parking on any city street between the hours of 3am and 6:00am is prohibited.  Managing Director of Engineering and Public Works Alan Korell says it all has to do with the onset of winter.   Korell says when there is a snowfall, they’re usually out plowing at 3am, so the streets need to be clear of vehicles.  In terms of penalties, there are fines that can be doled out.  Korell also says vehicles can be towed if needed during snow clearing or snow removal operations.
