Applications are being accepted for floats in this year’s Santa Claus Parade. The theme this year is “A Festival of Trees.” Registration forms are available on the city’s website and can be returned to the Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department at City Hall. The city’s Community Event Facilitator Erin Vaughan says applications are due November 9th with the parade happening Sunday, November 18th. Meantime, the Families First New Year’s Eve event is taking place again this year — with a request for volunteers for a number of activities. Those interested in helping out can contact the Parks, Recreation and Leisure Services Department at City Hall.
