Sales of author J-K Rowling’s first adult novel just don’t have the same magic as Harry Potter. Publisher Little, Brown and Company says “The Casual Vacancy” has sold 375-thousand copies since being released six days ago. That makes Rowling’s novel among the fastest selling new releases of the year. In comparison, the last Potter book, “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” sold more than eight-million copies — in the U-S alone — in its first 24 hours.
