I’m not sure if I totally buy this one or not but apparently there’s some science to it and the study was done by a female. Anyway, scientists at the University of North Texas say there may be a genetic reason that girls throw like girls. They found girls throw overhand, using mostly just their arms, while boys are able to use their arms, shoulders and hips, and essentially release a ball by uncoiling their bodies like whips. The same process is involved in tennis, golf and baseball swings, which may explain the gender gap in sports. I wonder what the Williams sisters think of this!
